QUESTION: A lot of people make Istikhara for several sakes of live. Some of them, on the contrary, consider it to be a last resort. However, there are some people who do not believe in Istikhara and consider it to be haram (prohibited). In this regard, I want to ask the following: 1) what is your point of vies about Istikhara? Who is entitled to conduct Istikhara? Could every one do Istikhara for himself?

ANSWER: I actually have no powerful evidence Istikhara. The legitimacy of Istkhara is mostly assigned to the trust on Allah and on the fact that Allah never leave someone in lurch. Istikhara must be done in case of helplessness or when someone is forced to choose one option from a bundle of options.
